Can you tint your eyebrows with hair dye?

Can you tint your eyebrows darker with hair dye? My eyebrows are a dark-medium blonde and i want to tint them slightly darker to match my hair a little better. light brown.

i can't seem to find eyebrow dye anywhere. I asked my eyebrow waxing lady and she says she doesnt tint eyebrows. =(

No. Only use tints or dyes especially made for eyebrows which you can buy online if you cant find it anywhere else.


The problem with dying your eyebrows with regular hair dye is that the dye is more concentrated; no matter how long you leave it on, you'll probably end up with darker color eyebrows than you want. Also, regular hair dye stains the skin beaneath the hair. Since eyebrows are less dense, the staining will be very noticeable (and trust me the staining is hard to get off!)


More importantly the main reason to not use regular hairdye is the amonia and other chemicals contained it it. There's the risk of getting it in your eyes and that's very dangerous.Can you tint your eyebrows with hair dye?
Yes, when I got my hair colored, my stylist used the same dye on my eyebrows. I suggest having a friend do it for you, though. It could be impossible to do it yourself. Good luck.

Things You鈥檒l Need:


Hair dye


Small cup or lid


Cotton swabs


Old toothbrush, small


Soap or facial wash


Step1Before dying your eyebrows, finish dying your hair and make sure that it is completely dry so you have an idea of what actual color it is going to be.


Step2Put aside a small bit of hair dye for your eyebrows, and place a small dab in a cup or cap.


Step3Apply a very small amount of the hair dye in dabs to the roots of your eyebrows. I find that it is easiest to dab the hair dye on with the cotton swab, but it is very helpful to make sure that it is evenly applied by combing it through with the old toothbrush.


Step4If your eyebrow hair is thicker than the hair on your head, you will have to leave the dye on slightly longer than the instructions call for.


Step5Using soap and water or facial wash, vigorously scrub your eyebrows and rinse all of the hair dye off your face. If the tint is not to your liking, you can reapply and try to get the tint darker or lighter.
no it is not safe, please do not do that. go to the beauty supply and see if any specific products have some on the market, probably not, one mistake and damaging or blinding you is not worth the finanacial responsibilities so manufactures do not make it, last time I looked though. They would look horrid growing in, they would be impossible to do the roots like hair, they would be a nightmare, find a good made for eyebrows pencle, looks real and causes no damage.
Yeah you can totally use hair color on eyebrows.


I suggest you dont do it by yourself ask somebody else to do it for you.


Make sure that person is extra careful and keep your eyes closed.
Yes it's safe, that's what my hairdresser would do. Get someone else to do it though so you can close your eyes, you don't want any hair dye in them!

theres kits you can get specially for dying eyelashes and eyebrows, d o not using regular hair dye please!!
yes u can, no its not safe, it will burn your eyes, unless u can dye em with ur eyes closed
just do what the girl at the burrito place I go to does... shave it off and draw new ones.
